Origami Star Chain: A Fun Christmas Tree Wrapper

Finding New Ways to Use Previous Projects
In one of my earliest blog posts I showed you how to fold Origami Snowflakes. This year I had the opportunity to teach a class at the Spring Hill Library here in Tennessee where about 50 people of a number of ages were able to make these ornaments. While preparing for this class I found a new way to use them when I received a package of two-sided origami paper. I took one 6 “ square and cut it into four smaller squares. Then I folded the snowflake pattern using two of the smaller squares from opposite sides. Then I glued them together back-to-back and came up with these beautiful little stars.

My Wife’s Suggestion Resulted In This:
After making about one hundred of these mini-stars my wife suggested stringing them into chains using thread and a needle. The result was spectacular. We now have a tree wrapped from top to bottom with these chains of mini-stars.

There Is More Than One Way To Develop a Deeper Viewpoint:
As I took a little time to think about how this all came about I was reminded of the amazing things we can learn by listening to others as they share their viewpoints.
I also thought about the Scriptural passages I’ve recently read of the four different Gospel accounts of Jesus coming to earth as the God/man to bring us joy and freedom from the consequences of our sin, so that the penalty of death is removed by all those who believe in Jesus and become a child of God. Each of the authors: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John recorded their encounters with Jesus from four different perspectives. By reading them all we get a much more complete picture of what really happened as they each came to know the Savior of the World.
I hope you will take the time to listen to the advice of others, to consider their viewpoints and suggestions. I also pray that you, like I, will come to know Jesus as your Savior.
If You Want to Know How to Fold These You Can Watch My Video in the Blog Post Entitled: “Have You Entered the Treasures of the Snow.” It is the blog post for Dec. 26, 2016.

Hope you have a blessed Christmas season and enjoy folding some of these for yourself.
