Fishing

20151006_181927One of my favorite hobbies is fishing. I love to go down to the lake near my house and sit on the shore and wait for a fish to bite. Even on days when I catch few fish, I can enjoy watching all the creatures that live around and in the lake. I often catch turtles who come to steal my bait. At other times I see many kinds of birds: herons, egrets, kingfishers, geese, ducks, cardinals, crows, robins, and so many more. The insect life around the lake is amazing too! No matter where you look you can find something interesting to study. You can even take a small drop of water from the lake and see thousands of microorganisms living inside. In this section of the blog I will share some of the fish I have caught both at my lake and other places I have lived or traveled. You might also see some of the other creatures living in and near the lake.

In the pictures above you can see the biggest fish I have caught to date (3-23-23). It was forty inches long and weighed 35 lbs. It was a blue catfish.
